Our privacy commitments

No advertising in Doveline Academy.
No sale of personal information or Student Data.
No sharing of Student Data for targeted advertising.
No profiles for advertising or purposes unrelated to providing and securing Doveline.
No use of Student Data to train general-purpose AI models.

Who operates Doveline and who may use it

Doveline Academy is currently operated by David Shlivko and Olga Brodskaya. Doveline Learning, LLC is pending formation in California. This notice will be updated before the LLC assumes operation of the service.

Doveline is for people age 13 and older. Users age 13–17 need permission from a parent or legal guardian. During the private beta, instructors may use Doveline for individual tutoring, but not for students in an actual school or university course unless that institution has authorized its use. Information we collect

Accounts and access

Information used to create and secure accounts and control course access, such as names, email addresses, roles, memberships, and authentication information. Doveline stores password hashes, not plaintext passwords.

Course content and activity

Course materials and learning activity users create or interact with, including videos, transcripts, discussions, bookmarks, playback activity, and responses to learning activities.

Doveline Assistant

Questions, responses, conversation history, citations, and authorized course context used to provide assistant features, together with limited operational data needed for safety, reliability, rate limits, and cost controls. Within Doveline Academy, conversations are not visible to other course members or instructors. Users may delete saved conversations at any time.

Feedback and technical information

Feedback and support communications, email-delivery records, and limited browser, page, device, network, and security information needed to operate and protect Doveline.

How we use information

Authenticate users and protect accounts.
Limit courses and content to people who are authorized to access them.
Deliver course videos, transcripts, discussions, bookmarks, and learning activities.
Provide course-grounded assistant and instructor AI tools when enabled.
Send requested account, security, course, and urgent-support communications.
Investigate security events, prevent abuse, maintain reliability, and enforce service limits.
Review private-beta feedback and improve Doveline without building advertising profiles.
Comply with law and protect the rights and safety of users and the service.

When information is disclosed

Doveline does not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed only:

To instructors and administrators as needed to operate the courses and features they are authorized to manage.
To service providers listed on the Subprocessors page for hosting, AI, email, or embedded video services.
When reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, prevent harm, or protect the service.
To Doveline Learning, LLC if it assumes operation of the service, subject to this notice and applicable law.

Where information is hosted

Doveline primarily stores application data on Microsoft Azure infrastructure in the United States. Service providers may process limited information in other locations as described on the Subprocessors page. Doveline uses encryption and access controls to protect stored and transmitted information. See the Security page for more information.

AI processing

When an AI feature is used, Doveline sends OpenAI only the request and authorized course material needed to provide that feature. Doveline does not opt in to training general-purpose models with customer or Student Data. OpenAI may retain limited abuse-monitoring data for up to 30 days under its standard API controls. Doveline stores conversation history so users can reopen their course-specific conversations.

Instructors may also use AI to generate or format transcripts, assess transcript quality, audit content, or suggest chapters and learning actions. Extracted audio, transcript text, or relevant course context is sent only when needed for the requested operation.

Cookies and embedded content

Doveline uses cookies and browser storage needed to sign users in, protect requests, and remember preferences. It does not use advertising cookies. YouTube may receive browser and network information when an embedded video loads or plays; YouTube's policies govern that processing.

Retention, deletion, and choices

Information is retained only for the purposes described in this notice and according to the periods on the Data deletion page. Eligible users can request verified account deletion from account settings. Requests to access, correct, or delete information can also be sent to support@dovelinelearning.com.

Email content and sensitive links are cleared promptly after delivery or cancellation. If delivery fails, the encrypted message may remain available for retry for up to seven days. Limited delivery records are removed after 30 days, and records used to prevent duplicate course notifications are retained for up to 90 days.

A content-free placeholder may remain where removing a discussion message would otherwise break a visible reply thread. Deleted information may also remain temporarily in restricted recovery copies until those copies expire.

Security, changes, and contact

Doveline uses the safeguards summarized on the Security page. No service can promise absolute security. Material changes to this notice will be dated and presented before they take effect when additional notice is appropriate.
