How the private beta handles student information
Doveline may be used for individual tutoring during the private beta. It may not be used for students in an actual school or university course unless that institution has authorized its use.

Individual tutoring only
Instructors may invite individual students for tutoring outside an actual school or university course. They must not invite students from a course they teach or support through an institution, or upload institution-controlled education records, unless the institution has authorized Doveline's use.
Student Data pledge
For purposes of this page, “Student Data” means personal information about a student that is provided through educational use of Doveline.
- Doveline uses Student Data only to provide, secure, support, and improve the requested educational service.
- Doveline does not display advertising or sell Student Data.
- Doveline does not share Student Data for targeted advertising.
- Doveline does not build profiles for advertising or purposes unrelated to providing and securing Doveline.
- Doveline does not use Student Data to train general-purpose AI models.
- Doveline does not require more Student Data than is reasonably needed for the educational activity.
Age requirements
Doveline is intended for high-school, college, and adult users age 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not request, activate, or use an account.
A user age 13–17 may participate only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. The user confirms that permission during account request and activation; Doveline does not independently contact or verify the parent during the private beta.
School and university use
Doveline is not “FERPA certified,” and the private beta is not offered on behalf of a school or university.
Unofficial individual tutoring does not authorize Doveline to receive institution-controlled education records. Students from an actual school or university course may not be enrolled unless Doveline and the institution approve that use in writing.
Access, correction, and deletion
Individual beta users can request access, correction, or deletion through account settings or support. Doveline verifies requests and will not disclose one user's information when responding to a request concerning another user. Current deletion practices are described on the Data deletion page.
